What is Viking venture?
Viking Venture is a continuation of the orientation activities that take place before the beginning of fall semester. Incoming residential students move into their residence hall room on the Wednesday prior to classes beginning and participate in Viking Venture activities throughout the remainder of the week and weekend. All new first-year and transfer students taking BCC 100/200 are required to participate.
2024 VIKING VENTURE SCHEDULE
Activities include:
- Building relationships with your hall mates and resident assistants (RAs) at a residence hall or commuter meeting.
- Learn more about The Berry Journey as you explore your new community and settle into life at Berry.
- Getting to know your classmates and academic advisor during your first BCC 100/200 class and book discussion.
- Meeting your work supervisor during LifeWorks Orientation.
- Reflecting on your values and how you can contribute to a culture of belonging at Berry through our “Be Berry” Program.
- Exploring campus and trying new things through optional activities like Rage in the Cage, Club Krannert, and more!
