"I'm deeply honored to have been selected to lead my D-III colleagues during the 2023-24 academic year," said Mason. "As we move into a new academic year, one of my goals as NADIIIAA President will be to focus our organization's attention on building a strong, united future for Division III and our NADIIIAA membership."
Mason, who came to Berry in 2019, is one of the few female African American athletic administrators who lead a department nationwide, Mason was the Nike Executive Director of the Year for NCAA D-III colleges in 2022-23 as selected by Women Leaders in College Sports.
Berry's athletic director will lead a newly expanded NADIIIAA Board of Directors. The new board also features three vice presidents, six at-large members, and the immediate past president.
