ANIMAL SCIENCE FACULTY
Specializing in the genetics of livestock and the breeder of a patented strain of improved chicken, Dr. Peters holds two doctoral degrees: one in animal breeding and genetics and another in molecular biology. In addition to teaching and mentoring Berry students, Dr. Peters has authored many scholarly articles and contributed a chapter to the book "Livestock Epigenetics."
Berry’s campus creates access to a wide variety of ecosystems and is home to a vast working farm with livestock, an equine center and an aviary.

ANIMAL SCIENCE LIVES
At Berry, animal science and biochemistry double major Elizabeth Anthony (16C) worked at the Rollins Dairy—caring for large animals while learning how to manage people. Now a student in University of Florida’s veterinary program, Elizabeth has just been sworn into the Army as a second lieutenant, on her way to her dream job working for the Army Veterinary Corps.
