Committing to Leadership, discipleship and SERVICE through a UNIQUE residential community
The WinShape College Program will offer you the opportunity to experience Berry’s long-held commitment to educate the “head, heart and hands” while equipping you and a group of likeminded students to understand your Christian faith, grow in discipleship and community, and lead in service — at Berry and beyond. While creating enduring friendships in a close, caring community, you’ll also find opportunities to serve locally by:
- Providing meals for the Davies Homeless Shelter
- Mentoring for the kids at the Boys and Girls Club in West Rome
- Serving as a Young Life leader mentoring high school students
HOW DOES YOUR PARTICIPATION ADD VALUE TO A BERRY COLLEGE EDUCATION?
You’ll benefit from the program while living on campus, preparing for your career or graduate school and pursuing personal and professional goals after graduation because of:
- Transferable skills developed through leadership development and the planning, management and promotion of service projects on campus and in the community
- A campus network of peers who provide valuable connections and support
- A network of mentors, including WinShape staff, who will offer advice and write letters of recommendation during and after college
ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?
The WinShape College Program offers a merit-based award of $4,000 per year if you demonstrate the following:
- Commitment to discipleship
- Proven leadership potential
- A desire for Christian community
WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT ASKED OF YOU?
- Join other first-year students to build a supportive network before arriving on campus
- Live in dorms on Mountain Campus
- Be an active part of a small discipleship group during your first two years
- Focus on how your Community Impact Team will positively influence the community beyond Berry during years three and four
- Travel to Chicago to discover your strengths alongside others in the program
- Travel to Washington, D.C., to trace the footsteps of our country’s most influential leaders while creating your own life purpose statement
- Have a positive effect on your community through team ministry as you progress through each year of college
"Having four years of dynamic experiences centered on community, discipleship and leadership, I am able to lead others in deeper relationships throughout both the workplace, and in various events and relationships I am a part of personally."
