Dr. Ashleigh Woods
Ashleigh Woods, Ed.D., R.N., C.N.E., clinical assistant professor of nursing at Berry College, plays a vital role in preparing students during their senior year. She guides them through areas such medical surgical nursing, intensive/critical care nursing and the senior internship practicum. Dr. Woods' clinical background includes working in labor and delivery, postpartum, well baby nursery and neonatal intensive care nursing (level III) units, cardiac intensive care unit and occupational health/health promotion nursing. She earned her undergraduate, master's degree (nursing in case management and doctorate for education (instructional leadership) from the University of Alabama. Professional) memberships include Sigma Theta Tau, Nursing Christian Fellowship, National League of Nursing and American Association of Critical Care Nurses.

Real-world Training Prepares Student Nurse for Success
Alyssa Beasley, who works in the cardiac unit at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, gained vital real-world experience as a Berry College nursing student. Through Berry’s LifeWorks program, she spent almost two years as a nurse technician at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. Alyssa was was able to put her skills to the test, thanks to the rigorous curriculum and training received in Berry’s nursing program.
