Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing
Dr. Abigale Cheatham, DNP, RN, FNP-BC is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing. She graduated from Berry College with her BSN and brings experience from her role as a bedside registered nurse and an advanced practice registered nurse.
She started her clinical practice at a large hospital in Knoxville, TN as a medical-surgical critical care nurse and neuro critical care nurse. In 2022, she graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a focus on Family Practice. She continues to work as an APRN in a busy urgent care clinic. She also has experience as a clinic instructor for BSN students.
Dr. Cheatham's clinic interests include advance directives and end-of-life care, critical care nursing, increasing access to healthcare in rural and underserved communities, and vulnerable populations.
In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, traveling to new places, and spending time with her family and three-legged pup.
